The Washington Commanders released their Week 16 inactives ahead of Saturday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers and starting safety Kam Curl is out.
Curl will miss his third game of the season after suffering an ankle injury in last week’s loss to the New York Giants. Curl missed the first two games of the season after undergoing hand surgery in the preseason.
Washington’s inactive list contained no other surprises:
- QB Sam Howell
- G Chris Paul
- G Saahdiq Charles
- DT Daniel Wise
Two noticeable absences on the inactive list are defensive end Chase Young and cornerback Benjamin St-Juste. Young will make his 2022 season debut after undergoing knee surgery late last year. St-Juste returns after missing the previous three games with an ankle injury.
Percy Butler and Jeremy Reaves will fill Curl’s role.
