Commanders vs. Colts: 1st injury report for Week 8

Five Commanders did not practice, including Jahan Dotson.

The Washington Commanders returned to practice Wednesday in preparation for the Week 8 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Several Commanders opened the week on the injury report as five Washington players missed practice.

  • G Saahdiq Charles [illness]
  • WR Jahan Dotson [hamstring]
  • LB Cole Holcomb [foot]
  • CB William Jackson III [back]
  • TE Cole Turner [concussion]

Charles had been playing well at right guard. However, he had his worst game of the season in the win over the Packers. Dotson continues to miss practice. The Commanders would love to get the rookie back on the field to give Taylor Heinicke another reliable weapon. Speaking of Heinicke, he made an appearance on the injury report with a calf injury, but he was a full participant.

No need to worry about Holcomb’s injury. He never misses time, and if it were serious, we’d likely have already heard about it. Turner suffered a concussion Sunday after he took a hard fall in the first half.

The following players were limited for the Commanders:

  • WR Dyami Brown [groin]
  • TE Logan Thomas [calf]
  • RB Jonathan Williams [knee]

Here is a complete look at Wednesday’s injury report for both teams.
