Commanders TE Logan Thomas ruled out with a concussion

Logan Thomas ruled out after touchdown catch.

Tight end Logan Thomas made the play of the day for the Washington Commanders when his team needed him the most. With Washington trailing 21-3, Thomas caught quarterback Sam Howell’s fourth-down pass for a touchdown to cut the lead to 21-9.

Unfortunately, it cost Thomas. On the play, he suffered a nasty — and illegal — hit from Denver defensive back Kareem Jackson, who was penalized and ejected.

Here’s the touchdown.

That would be his last play of the game, as the Commanders ruled him out with a concussion.

It is an unfortunate turn of events for Thomas, who missed much of training camp with a calf injury. If Washington can come back and win the game, Thomas’ touchdown will be remembered as a turning point for the Commanders.
