Colts’ Zack Moss unlikely to play vs. Jaguars in Week 1

Zack Moss has been downgraded to doubtful for Week 1.

Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss was downgraded from questionable to doubtful and is unlikely to play Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team announced Saturday.

Moss is still working his way back from a broken arm he suffered during training camp. He was a limited participant in practice all week and carried a questionable tag on the final injury report.

However, he was downgraded to doubtful, which essentially means he’s likely to be inactive.

With Moss unlikely to play, the Colts will turn to Deon Jackson and Evan Hull to lead the backfield. It’s likely Jackson will get a slight bump in workload over Hull, but both players should get work. The Colts also called up Jake Funk from the practice squad.

While Moss is not expected to play Sunday, the hope is that he will be back in Week 2 when the Colts visit the Houston Texans.
