The Indianapolis Colts held a tryout for free-agent offensive tackle J’Marcus Webb, per the league’s transaction wire on Tuesday.
As the Colts try to navigate through a tough situation with their offensive tackles, they are looking pretty hard at the available options. They worked out three offensive tackles on Monday and it seems Webb was a part of that group even though he didn’t show up until the wire report on Tuesday.
Webb has plenty of history with the Colts and knows their system well. He filled in as the starter for Anthony Castonzo in Week 1 of the 2018 season but missed the remainder of the campaign with a hamstring injury. The Colts released him during the roster cuts ahead of the 2019 season.
The Colts lost Le’Raven Clark during the Week 13 win over the Houston Texans when he suffered a torn Achilles. They are likely to put him on the injured reserve list when they add another tackle to the roster.
However, the Colts could also be without starting left tackle Anthony Castonzo, who continues to deal with an MCL sprain. It is unclear whether he will be able to suit up against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14.
