With the additions of Michael Pittman Jr. (second round) and Dezmon Patmon (sixth round) during the draft while also needing room for a number of undrafted free agents, the Colts are parting ways with the Syracuse product.
Ishmael had intriguing size for the wide receiver position and plenty of upside and production from his days at Syracuse. But injuries got in the way of any chance to make an impact.
After spending time on the practice squad during the 2018 season, Ishmael spent the entire 2019 campaign on the injured reserve list.
With the signings of undrafted players likely being announced soon, Ishmael is probably one of a handful of players to get waived.
