Colts vs Titans inactives: 7 players out for Week 16 matchup

The Colts are listing seven players as inactive for their Week 16 matchup with the the Titans. Here is what you need to know.

The Indianapolis Colts have listed their inactives ahead of Sunday’s Week 16 matchup with the Tennessee Titans. Let’s take a quick look at what you need to know.

QB Sam Ehlinger
CB Chris Lammons
DE Isaiah Land
G Atonio Mafi
G Dalton Rucker
WR Alec Pierce
LB EJ Speed

Each Sunday, teams are permitted to have only 48 players active on the gameday roster. With the Colts elevating two players from the practice squad, along with having their usual 53-man roster, seven players needed to be inactive for this specific game.

The good news is that Matt Gay, Mo Alie-Cox, and Ashton Dulin, all of whom were questionable, will be active and available.

As was already know, the Colts will be without Pierce and Speed, both of whom were ruled out Friday. Expect more from Dulin and AD Mitchell with Pierce out and we could see a big role for Jaylon Carlies in his return.

With Ryan Kelly back in the starting lineup and Mark Glowinski elevated again, the Colts have depth along the interior offensive line, resulting in Mafi and Tucker being inactive. With his play the last two games, Danny Pinter has leaped Tucker on the depth chart.

As has been the case really all season when the Colts are healthy at quarterback and defensive end, Ehlinger and Land are the healthy scratches–although Ehlinger is available if needed as the emergency quarterback.

Lastly, the Colts are opting to go with more boundary cornerback depth in this game, making Lammons inactive in favor of Tre Flowers, who was elevated on Saturday from the practice squad.
