WR’s T.Y. Hilton and Zach Pascal vs. Panthers’ secondary
Even though the Panthers’ passing defense is ranked higher than the Colts’ passing defense (16th vs. 21st), I brought this matchup up because of some potential changes to the Colts’ offensive gameplan by head coach Frank Reich, who said as such this week.
If the Colts actually follow through on those changes, then I would assume more focus is being placed on the intermediate-deep passing game. With T.Y. Hilton being back in the lineup and Zach Pascal having proved his worth as a trust-worthy target, then the Colts could/should attack opposing secondaries more.
This makes a lot of sense because teams are becoming more determined to stop their running game and force quarterback Jacoby Brissett to beat them. So if you know what’s going on, then why not switch it up on your opponents?
