Stay up to date with the Colts’ Week 18 matchup against the Jaguars with live updates, highlights, and more.

The Indianapolis Colts will conclude the 2024 season at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Unfortunately, this game won’t come with anything on the line following last week’s loss to the New York Giants, which eliminated them from playoff contention.

And with another devastating loss comes a lot of speculation about what’s in store for the Colts this offseason. Naturally, rumors are already swirling.

However, before we get to more of those conversations, there is one more game to be played.

Scoring Updates

First quarter

Joe Flacco connects with Alec Pierce on another big play, scoring from 40 yards out. Colts lead 7-0.

A long touchdown drive by the Jaguars results in a one-yard touchdown run. Tie game at 7-7.

Second quarter

Jaguars kicker Cam Little hits a field goal to give the Jaguars a 10-7 lead.

Jonathan Taylor runs it in from six yards out to retake the 14-10 lead.

Matt Gay makes a 49-yard field goal. Colts lead 17-10.

Cam Little makes a 28 yard field goal following a red zone stop by the Colts’ defense. Colts lead 17-13.

The Colts offense moves the ball into field goal range quickly with halftime approaching and Gay makes a 36 yard attempt. Colts lead 20-13.

In-game analysis

– As they did in Week 5 against the Colts when Joe Flacco was also starting in that game, the Colts found a lot of success through the air against the Jaguars. Jacksonville ranks 32nd in yards per pass attempt allowed.

– I just mentioned that the Jaguars have given up a lot of yards through the air, but I have to say I’m surprised that the Colts have run the ball just three times going into the second quarter.

– JuJu Brents is questionable to return with a groin injury.

– Taylor and the run game are rolling in the second quarter. The Colts are finding quite a bit of success running between the tackles.

– There have been easy completions for Mac Jones. Not helping the Colts pass defense is that Jones has time in the pocket, although it’s not always easy to pressure him with how quickly he gets rid of the ball.

– Even with the struggles last week defensively, the Colts’ run defense held up against the Giants. The Colts are playing well against the run again today after a rough start early.

– Over the last two seasons, Gay is 11-for-22 on field goal attempts of 50-plus yards.
