The Indianapolis Colts were officially on the field for practice with pads on Monday with the media present for the first time since players reported for training camp at the end of July.
Since there are no fans allowed at practice, the best information we can get comes via Twitter. Here’s a quick recap of what the media saw during the first padded practice of the preseason on Monday, Aug. 17:
Jonathan Taylor is a big, big man.
First impression: Jonathan Taylor is huge

DeForest Buckner is also a large human being.

The Philip Rivers, T.Y. Hilton connection is going to be lethal.

Moore wound up sitting out the rest of practice. Same for rookie CB Isaiah Rodgers.
Kenny Moore is off to the side without helmet but hasn’t left practice. Isaiah Rodgers also left that team session but hasn’t left field

Tyquan Lewis starting off camp strong.
Tidbit from pass rush drills: Standouts for me so far are Tyquan Lewis beating… Quenton Nelson, and LeRaven Clark with two really good reps vs Denico Autry.
