Colts’ training camp practice roundup: Aug. 17

Practice roundup for Monday, Aug. 17.

The Indianapolis Colts were officially on the field for practice with pads on Monday with the media present for the first time since players reported for training camp at the end of July.

Since there are no fans allowed at practice, the best information we can get comes via Twitter. Here’s a quick recap of what the media saw during the first padded practice of the preseason on Monday, Aug. 17:

Jonathan Taylor is a big, big man.

DeForest Buckner is also a large human being.

Update: Darius Leonard is still a Maniac.

The Philip Rivers, T.Y. Hilton connection is going to be lethal.

At least three Colts had the day off.

Denico Autry seeing some time on the edge.

Kenny Moore doing Kenny Moore things.

Moore wound up sitting out the rest of practice. Same for rookie CB Isaiah Rodgers.

Tyquan Lewis starting off camp strong.

That’s a wrap on Day 1 of padded practice!
