Colts training camp officially set to open July 28

NFL announces the official start of training camp.

The NFL is forging ahead with training camp and is scheduled to open on time on July 28. The league sent an email to every team outlining the reporting dates for rookies and veterans.

For the Indianapolis Colts, they will be conducting training camp at their practice facility—the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center on West 56th Street.

Here are the reporting dates the league made official on Saturday:

  • July 21: Rookies
  • July 23: Quarterbacks and injured players
  • July 28: All other players

This is encouraging news given what is going on with COVID-19 across the country, but we still don’t know what the future holds for the league once the teams all report and begin working together.

It remains to be seen what type of protocols the league will have in place to ensure the safety of the players, and we will get a look at how effective those protocols are for battling the virus.
