Most of the news surrounding the Indianapolis Colts on Monday was in regards to the blockbuster trade they made to bring in DT DeForest Buckner, but they also did some smaller roster moves.
Among those moves included applying a tender to exclusive rights free agent safety Rolan Milligan. With the tender applied, Milligan has to sign the contract and cannot talk to any other teams.
The Colts have also tendered ERFA Rolan Milligan, the backup DB who can play both safety and nickel, per source

Milligan isn’t used heavily on the defensive side of the ball. Most of his work came on special teams. He played just 13% of the defensive snaps and 39% of the special teams snaps for the Colts during the 2019 season.
The Colts have their duo of starting safeties in Khari Willis and Malik Hooker. Milligan mostly will provide back-end depth and special teams help for Indy.
