Given the massive injuries that have hit the wide receiver position, the Indianapolis Colts are signing veteran Dontrelle Inman.
As the Colts placed rookie wide receiver Parris Campbell on the injured reserve list due to a broken foot, some depth was needed in the room. Instead of going with a younger player to develop, the Colts decided to go with the reliable Inman.
The Colts worked out Inman last week and must have come away thinking he was back to form after being released from the injured reserve list with the Los Angeles Chargers.
A reunion: The #Colts are re-signing WR Dontrelle Inman, source said. He played for them in 2018 and it makes sense given their injuries.

Inman played in nine games with the Colts in 2018 and was impressive as a possession receiver. He finished the season catching 28 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns.
T.Y. Hilton is also week to week with his calf injury and there is a real chance he doesn’t return this season, especially with the team’s playoff hopes being dashed with a loss against the New Orleans Saints in Week 15.
The Colts still have three games remaining, and they bring in a reliable asset in the form of Inman to serve as a solid depth piece.
