The Indianapolis Colts made a big change at quarterback in acquiring Carson Wentz from the Philadelphia Eagles, and it seems that has oddsmakers believing in a successful 2021 campaign coming up.
With the hope that Wentz and head coach Frank Reich can find some of that magic from their days with the Eagles, BetMGM currently has the Colts as the betting favorites to win the AFC South in 2021.
It’s as close of a race as it could be, though, with the Tennessee Titans just narrowly behind Indy.
The Colts will have stiff competition from the Titans in 2021. If Indy can get Wentz back on track from his disastrous 2020 season and somehow find a way to keep the pass rush consistent, they will have a chance. But those are pretty big ifs.
The Colts were given the highest over/under win totals in the division for the 2021 season from BetMGM.
The Titans have a chance to run back their AFC South championship with the core of their offense returning. They seem to have found a nice balance with their offense and they made some massive moves in free agency, including the signing of former Colts defensive end Denico Autry.
The draft will play a part in how successful the Colts can be in 2021 and a lot of it depends on Wentz. But there seems to be a two-team race for the top spot in the division, which makes this upcoming season a fun one to watch.
