The Indianapolis Colts have been working with a thin tight end room for the majority of training camp in 2020, which includes starter Jack Doyle dealing with a neck injury.

Taking precaution, the Colts held out the veteran tight end for the majority of last week’s practices. However, the 30-year-old has returned to practice on Wednesday as the Colts resume their work at West 56th Street.
Colts in full pads once again for today’s practice. Among those returning to the field today: TE Jack Doyle, RB Jordan Wilkins, CB Isaiah Rodgers & G Chaz Green (who is making his camp debut).

Doyle is a big part of the offense and will continue to be a safety valve for veteran quarterback Philip Rivers. Given the limited offseason and limited work with a new quarterback, it won’t be a surprise if Doyle and Rivers connect quickly.
With Doyle returning to practice, the Colts now have their full tight end room on the field together assuming Trey Burton doesn’t get a rest day.
