The Indianapolis Colts signed defensive end Cassius Marsh to the practice squad, the team announced Saturday.
Marsh visited the Colts on Tuesday, and it seems it went well enough that they want to bring him on to the practice squad. The Colts are constantly looking for depth, especially with the expanded practice squad spots.
Marsh, 28, was a fourth-round pick with the Seahawks in the 2014 NFL Draft. After three seasons in Seattle, Marsh has spent time with the Patriots (2017), 49ers (2017–2018), Cardinals (2019) and Jaguars (2020).
In 88 career games Marsh has 14.0 sacks, 25 tackles for loss and 29 quarterback hits.
The Colts are hoping to see the return of defensive end Kemoko Turay from the PUP list. He’s eligible to return in Week 8, but it remains to be seen if that’s when he will make his debut.
