Colts shut down facility for COVID-19 outbreak

The Browns hosted the Colts on Sunday

The Indianapolis Colts have shut down their training and practice facility after an outbreak of positive tests for COVID-19.

The Colts offered this in a press release,

This morning, we were informed that several individuals within our organization have tested posted for COVID-19. The team is currently in the process of confirming those tests. In the meantime, the practice facility will be closed and the team will work remotely while following NFL protocols. We are in communication with the NFL and will have more information when available.

Why does this matter for the Browns? The Colts and Browns played last Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium. There have been no positive tests as of Friday morning for the Browns, but the incubation period of the virus leaves some potential for players to fall under the cone of uncertainty.

It comes a day after wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was sent home from practice for an undisclosed illness. The Colts did not have any players sidelined with illness during practices on Wednesday or Thursday.
