The Indianapolis Colts were back on the practice field Friday ahead of their Week 4 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and they were shorthanded along the offensive line, with both Braden Smith and Ryan Kelly not participating.

Smith would miss Wednesday’s practice with what was listed as a knee injury–just as he did last Friday before playing every snap against Chicago. He would return on Thursday before being out again today.
Kelly was a full participant on Wednesday but was out Thursday and Friday with a neck injury.
As of now, we do not have any further updates, but later this afternoon the Colts will release their final injury report with any injury designations.
Despite the ups and downs that the Colts offense has experienced this season, the offensive line has played at a high level. By ESPN’s pass-block win rate metric, the Colts rank third and by their run-blocking win rate metric, the Colts rank first.
This week upcoming is a very difficult test for the Colts offensive line, facing a Steelers defensive front that features TJ Watt, Cameron Heyward, Keeanu Benton, and others. The Steelers will enter Week 4 ranked ninth in pressure rate and second in yards per carry allowed. Pittsburgh is expected to be without defensive end Alex Highsmith.
