Indianapolis Colts cornerback Rock Ya-Sin and linebacker Matthew Adams have been ruled out for the Week 3 matchup against the New York Jets, head coach Frank Reich told the media Friday.
Ya-Sin has been dealing with a stomach bug that made him a surprise scratch in Week 2 against the Vikings. He failed to practice all week because of it and will now miss his second consecutive game.
Adams suffered an ankle injury during the 28-11 win against the Vikings and is expected to miss a few weeks. He also didn’t log a practice this week.
While these two players have been ruled out, the Colts may see the return of tight end Jack Doyle, The veteran tight end logged a full practice on Friday, which bodes well for his chances to play on Sunday against the Jets. He has been dealing with ankle and knee injuries and will be listed as questionable on the final injury report.
The Colts and Jets are set to kickoff Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium. The final injury report will be released later on Friday.
