Colts reportedly sign DE Levi Bell to add depth

The Colts reportedly signed defensive end Levi Bell to bolster the depth at that position with Samson Ebukam injured.

The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly signing defensive end Levi Bell, according to ML Football.

The addition of Bell will bolster the Colts’ defensive end depth during training camp with Samson Ebukam out for the season with an Achilles injury and presumably take his place on the 91-man roster.

Titus Leo would also leave Tuesday’s practice with what Shane Steichen called a knee injury.

Standing 6-1 and weighing 275 pounds, Bell went undrafted in 2023 out of Texas State and is an excellent athlete, posting an elite RAS of 9.55 during the pre-draft process, which included 37.5-inch vertical and a 4.59-second 40-yard dash.

In his final college season, Bell posted a career-high 41 pressures and six sacks and was one of PFF’s highest-graded run defenders. He’s a versatile defender, playing up and down the defensive front during with Texas State.

Bell was originally signed by the Baltimore Ravens following the 2023 draft before eventually being released and catching on with the Seattle Seahawks.

Bell appeared in all three of Seattle’s preseason games last summer, playing 111 snaps and recording 10 pressures and a sack, per PFF.

Bell saw a few snaps at fullback with Texas State and in the preseason with Seattle.

This past spring, Bell played in the UFL with the Michigan Panthers.
