The Indianapolis Colts did not receive any compensatory selections in the 2023 NFL draft, the league announced Thursday.
It wasn’t expected that the Colts would be getting any compensatory picks after spending a good bit of cash during free agency last offseason, but there was some hope they might’ve slipped in a seventh-round pick based on the formula.
However, the Colts will be going into the upcoming draft with eight selections, some of which may be used in a trade up to the No. 1 overall pick.
The San Francisco 49ers led the way with seven compensatory draft picks, three of which came from losing minority coaches and executives to head coach and general manager jobs.
