Taylor has been sidelined since suffering a high-ankle sprain in the Colts’ Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to missing the last two games, Taylor has not returned to practice yet either.

In a recent interview with Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Taylor did say that he was feeling better this week:

“I’m definitely feeling better this week. Ankles are nothing new to me. … Doing everything in my power to be back out there again this week,” said Taylor. “You know the high ankles are always tricky, especially when you’re playing a high-contact sport like this.”

Prior to his injury, Taylor was one of the more productive running backs in football. Through four games, Taylor had totaled 349 yards while averaging 4.8 yards per rush with four touchdowns. He also ranked among the best in rushes of at least 10 yards as well.

As one would expect, the Colts run game has not been nearly the same without Taylor in the mix. This week against a Miami Dolphins defense that has been very good against the pass, finding success in the game will be a key element to opening up the rest of the offense for Indianapolis.
