Colts QB Anthony Richardson Jr. is OUT with a concussion

The Colts are minus Anthony Richardson after suffering a concussion in the first half.

Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson Jr. was having a strong first half against the Houston Texans but his day was cut short after suffering a concussion that will keep him out the rest of the game.

Richardson was 6-for-10 passing for 56 yards prior to his injury but had also 35 yards rushing on just three carries and two rushing touchdowns. Gardner Minshew is in the game replacing Richardson.

On the other side of the football, fellow rookie C.J. Stroud started for Houston despite a shoulder injury. Stroud has 110 passing yards and a passing touchdown in the first half and a passing touchdown. The Colts lead the Texans 21-10.

The Colts selected Richardson with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida.
