Colts practice injury report: Quenton Nelson (back) did not practice

Here’s a look at Thursday’s injury report.

The Indianapolis Colts added some new names to the practice injury report on Thursday, including All-Pro left guard Quenton Nelson, who is seemingly dealing with a back injury.

Nelson didn’t participate in Thursday’s practice as the Colts prepare for the Week 1 opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Colts are favored by 7.5 points despite being on the road.

Here’s a look at the injury report for the Colts following Thursday’s practice:

Name Position Injury Wed. (9/9) Thurs. (9/10) Fri. (9/11) Game Status
Matthew Adams LB Ankle LP LP
Julian Blackmon S Knee LP LP
Anthony Castonzo OT Oblique LP LP
Ryan Kelly C Knee LP LP

The injury statuses for the game will be revealed after Friday’s practice so Nelson’s situation will certainly be one to monitor. Should he miss the opener, the Colts would likely turn to their veteran Chaz Green or fifth-round pick Danny Pinter.
