Coming off of two straight losses to open the season, the Indianapolis Colts (0-2) commence Week 3 as significant underdogs for their first divisional game against the Tennessee Titans (1-1).
In Week 3, the Colts open as sizeable 5.5-point underdogs on the road when they travel to Nissan Stadium to face the Titans, according to Tipico Sportsbook.
The game has a modest over/under set at 48.5 points to open the week while the money line for the Colts sits at +200. The money line for the Titans opens at -250.
There is a chance the spread on this game gets even bigger depending on the injury updates regarding Carson Wentz later in the week. The Colts haven’t ruled him out, but the 28-year-old quarterback suffered two ankle sprains during the Week 2 loss against the Los Angeles Rams.
If Wentz can’t suit up, the Titans will have the opportunity to face second-year quarterback Jacob Eason in his first career start.
Meanwhile, the Titans are coming off of a crazy overtime win against the Seattle Seahawks that involved a 15-point comeback in the second half.
The Colts would like to avoid the dreaded 0-3 start even with an extra game on the schedule, but oddsmakers aren’t too confident that will happen.
