During Saturday’s matchup between USC and Michigan, the Indianapolis Colts were one of a number of teams in attendance, according to Bleacher Report’s Ryan Fowler.
Not surprisingly, when you have two top-20 college football teams squaring off, there is going to be a long list of NFL teams on hand to watch.
For all NFL teams, this is common practice throughout the college football season.
What we don’t know is if this included general manager Chris Ballard or if it was other members of the personnel department. However, either way, it’s worth noting, given the number of 2025 draft-eligible players competing in this game.
With help from Draft Wire’s Brennen Rupp, here are some of the players to know for the upcoming draft from USC:
RB Jo’Quavius Marks
OL Jonah Monheim
CB Jaylin Smith
DL Nate Clifton
LB Jamil Muhammad
LB Easton Mascarenas-Arnold
OL Emmanuel Pregnon
And for Michigan, here are the prospects on Rupp’s radar:
TE Colston Loveland
RB Donovan Edwards
CB Will Johnson
DT Mason Graham
DT Kenneth Grant
OL Myles Hinton
DL Josiah Stewart
Of course, between now and late-April when the 2025 NFL Draft takes place, the Colts’ positional needs could change quite a bit depending on how the rest of the season unfolds and what happens in free agency.
However, some potential positions of need for the Colts next spring include both the cornerback and safety positions, where there are currently major unknowns with each and a lack of depth.
Tight end is another position, with there being a need for more playmaking, not to mention that both Mo Alie-Cox and Kylen Granson are free agents next offseason.
Bolstering the defensive tackle depth also wouldn’t be a bad idea either, given the struggles in run defense that the Colts have had to start the season.
