The Indianapolis Colts face an offseason that will be filled with important decisions, but it seems the team is moving on from tight end Eric Ebron once the new league year begins in March.
Despite his career season in 2018, Ebron’s production cam crashing down to earth in 2019. He wound up finishing the season on the injured reserve list, and general manager Chris Ballard told the media Thursday that they will probably move on.

It was a tough year for Ebron, who finished with just 31 receptions for 375 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games before ankle surgery ended his season. His public frustrations regarding his role and questions about his decision to undergo surgery likely sealed the deal for his departure.
The Colts tight end room is still a strong unit being led by Jack Doyle. There is some promise with Mo Alie-Cox, but it could be an area the Colts address during the offseason.
Ebron’s time with the Colts was the tale of two halves. He had a career year in 2018 but regressed incredibly in 2019. It will be interesting to see where he lands, but his time with the Colts appears to be through.
