Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor continued his hot streak leading the backfield on Sunday, torching the Las Vegas Raiders for a career-high 150 rushing yards.

The rookie running back has been impressive over the last month of the season and his breakout performance in Week 14 earned him a nomination for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week award.

Nominated alongside Taylor are Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry and Los Angeles Rams rookie running back Cam Akers.

Taylor took 20 carries for 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns. It included a 62-yard breakaway touchdown in which Taylor went virtually untouched until the final five yards of the run.

The second-round pick is finally taking over the backfield. He was steadily improving through the first six games leading up to the bye week but hit a three-game rut in which he was essentially benched from Weeks 8–10.

But he’s been quickly improving since then, and his usage has grown into that of a workhorse running back.

It will be tough to beat Henry’s 215-yard, two-touchdown performance against Jacksonville, but Taylor is finally putting up national spotlight games.
