Colts’ Jonathan Taylor named to Big Ten All-Decade team

Jonathan Taylor gets another accolade.

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor can put another accolade on the shelf as he was named to the Big Ten All-Decade Team.

A two-time Doak Walker Award Winner in consecutive seasons, Taylor finished as one of the most productive running backs in college football history. His 6,174 rushing yards are sixth all-time and the most in a three-year span.

Taylor surely benefitted from one of the most run-heavy teams in the country, but that’s not the only reason is one of the most prolific backs to come out of college. His blend of size, speed and vision makes him a threat to take a carry to the house at any moment.

The Colts felt so strongly about Taylor’s fit in the offense they traded up three spots just to secure him in the second round of the draft.

Taylor might not see a bellcow’s workload right away, but the future is bright for the Wisconsin product. The backfield will one day be his and much of that is due to the production he enjoyed in college.
