Colts in attendance for QB Jacob Knipp’s pro day

Colts attended Northern Colorado’s pro day.

While Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert and Jordan Love are getting all of the attention when it comes to the Indianapolis Colts, they are still going to turn over every stone when searching for a quarterback.

Some of that includes checking out lesser-known prospects in the 2020 class. Thankfully, they can send scouts to pro days for those prospects that didn’t go to the combine. Recently, the Colts were reportedly in attendance at Northern Colorado’s pro day to scout quarterback Jacob Knipp, per Jordan Reid of The Draft Network.

Likely a late-Day 3 pick or an undrafted free agent, Knipp played in 12 games during the 2019 season. He completed 61.1% of his passes for 2,869 yards, 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

The Colts are going to be connected to a lot of quarterbacks during the draft. They have their top prospects in the first round. They’ve also been connected to projects like Jacob Eason and Anthony Gordon as potential picks following Day 1 of the draft.

But they will look even further at players like Knipp to make sure they have all the information they need before making a decision at the most important position in all of football.
