Colts hold No. 15 pick in 2020 NFL draft in Week 15

Colts have a mid first-round pick right now.

With three games remaining and facing an official elimination from the AFC playoff race, much of the focus surrounding the Indianapolis Colts has switched to the offseason and specifically the upcoming NFL Draft in 2020.

A loss against the New Orleans Saints (10-3) on Monday night football will officially end the Colts’ playoff hopes. Even before that, the draft is becoming a bigger topic of discussion with each passing day.

To update on where the Colts currently stand in the draft order, they hold the No. 15 pick in the draft entering Week 15 of the season.

Who the Colts are going to draft with their first-round pick is impossible to predict right now. Even when we get a week out from the draft, it is likely going to be a crapshoot.

There is a chance they target a quarterback given the inconsistencies of Jacoby Brissett under center. However, we also know how much they love Brissett as a leader and a player so there is no guarantee they even draft a quarterback in 2020.

Adding a pass rusher on the interior could also be on the docket for the Colts. Given the inconsistent production they have gotten from Denison Autry at the three-technique, adding a player like Javon Kinlaw from South Carolina could be a potential strategy.

The Colts will continue to strive for improvement to an already solid roster and a loss on Monday night will officially shift the focus to the upcoming draft.
