Colts have 3rd-highest odds to draft QB Jordan Love

Are the Colts and Jordan Love a match?

The Indianapolis Colts are just a week and a half away from the start of the 2020 NFL draft where they currently sit outside the first round. Even so, the team has high odds to be the ones to draft quarterback Jordan Love.

Despite not having their first selection until No. 34 overall—the second pick in the second round—there is the potential for the Colts to move back into the first round to grab a prospect like Love if they feel the need to.

According to BetMGM, the Colts have the third-highest odds to be the team that drafts Love at +425.

Love has one of the highest ceilings among prospects in the entire draft. His  arm talent, mobility and ability to move within the pocket make him a potential Pro Bowl prospect.

However, there are concerns about his decision-making that could give teams pause. He has a smooth delivery and has shown the ability to have strong ball placement, but there is risk in drafting the Utah State product.

The Colts have a need to draft a quarterback. With Philip Rivers and Jacoby Brissett under contract only through the 2020 season, the future has to be a priority for the Colts.

Whether Love is that player remains to be seen. The Colts might not even get a chance to draft him, but they are certainly being viewed as one of the top teams that could.
