Colts had virtual meeting with EDGE Terrell Lewis

Terrell Lewis is on the Colts radar.

The Indianapolis Colts have bolstered their defensive line this offseason but still have an eye on the class in the 2020 NFL draft. That includes Alabama edge rusher Terrell Lewis.

With the draft officially 10 days away, the Colts are cleaning up their draft board and making their plans for the big event. Lewis appears to be relatively high on their board and said he had a virtual meeting with the Colts among several other teams, per Peter King of NBC Sports.

“I’ve been mostly using Zoom to have meetings with some teams. Green Bay, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Tennessee, Detroit,” Lewis said in King’s FMIA column.

Lewis is a prospect to watch for the Colts when they are on the clock in the second round. He has immense upside given his athleticism, size and length. The biggest concern with Lewis has been his injury history, which has many wondering if he will be able to hit his ceiling.

He’s a solid fit for the Colts, who would likely employ him as a defensive end despite Lewis working as an outside linebacker in the 3-4 front under Nick Saban. The Colts might also be willing to use him in that role at SAM linebacker as well as putting his hand in the dirt.

If the Colts really want Lewis, they are likely going to have to use the No. 34 pick to get him. It seems they are interested so he will be a prospect to keep an eye on.
