The Indianapolis Colts held a formal meeting with Georgia tight end Brock Bowers during the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.
Bowers met with the media Thursday and confirmed his meeting with the Colts, along with 14 other teams, was a formal interview. He also mentioned how crowded the room was.

It’s unlikely the Colts would crowd the room for Bowers and not the other prospects they meet with this week. However, it does show a bit behind the curtain of how they’re going about these meetings.
It’s unclear whether Bowers will test during Friday’s events, which feature the defensive back and tight end positions. The noteworthy aspect of Bowers’ profile will be his weight, but it’s also unclear whether he participates in that either.
On tape, Bowers is electric. Thinking of him more as an offensive weapon rather than just a tight end is probably the more prudent way of viewing his profile. The logistics of selecting a tight end at No. 15 overall is certainly up for debate.
However, the Colts have made it clear they want to get more explosive on the offensive side of the ball. Bowers is an easy way to achieve that goal. His game features secure hands, elite elusiveness after the catch and elite short-area quickness and burst.
There’s a chance Bowers isn’t available when the Colts are on the clock at No. 15, but there’s also a chance he slides down boards due to positional value and potentially if he doesn’t test or weigh in.
Regardless, the Colts have clear interest in Bowers, and his ceiling in Shane Steichen’s offense is enticing.
