Colts’ DeForest Buckner dealing with foot injury

Colts DT DeForest Buckner is currently dealing with a foot injury.

Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner is currently dealing with a foot injury, and the severity of the injury is unknown.

Those aren’t the words Colts fans want to hear about the All-Pro defensive tackle, who is the most important player on the defensive side of the ball. As both quarterback Carson Wentz and left guard Quenton Nelson are out indefinitely due to their foot injuries that required surgery, this is certainly something to monitor.

With that said, head coach Frank Reich told the media following Saturday’s practice that it was more of a precaution to keep Buckner out of team drills after he suffered the injury early in practice.

This is something to monitor closely given the recent history of foot injuries going down at the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield. It may be nothing. It could be something.

Regardless, the Colts are going to take the cautious approach with the All-Pro defender who quite literally changes the entire makeup of the defense.

The Colts have one more practice on Sunday before a day off on Monday so it will be interesting to see how the team handles this injury.
