The Indianapolis Colts claimed defensive tackle Eli Ankou off of the waiver wire from the Cleveland Browns on Monday.
Always on the lookout for additions to their team, the Colts stay active on the waiver wire. Ankou will likely slide into the one-technique defensive tackle position behind Grover Stewart and alongside Taylor Stallworth.

With Sheldon Day to miss some time on the injured reserve list due to a knee injury, the Colts are slim at depth at the one-technique. Ankou shined during Browns training camp as the team was hoping to bring him back to the practice squad had he cleared waivers.
The Colts will have to make room for Ankou as the team was already at its 53-man limit on the roster so it will be interesting to see what Indy does as a corresponding move.
