The Indianapolis Colts have canceled their training camp practice, the team announced Thursday.
This decision comes following the shooting of Jacob Blake by police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin, which sparked protests that have resonated with professional athletes all over the country.
Instead of practicing, the Colts will use the day to “discuss and work toward making a lasting social impact and inspiring change in our communities.”

This decision isn’t the first to hit the sports world. The NBA postponed all of their playoff games on Wednesday night while MLB also had a handful of games postponed in wake of the shooting of the 29-year-old Blake.
The Colts are joined by the New Jets and the Washington Football Team as organizations who have canceled practices and scrimmages on Thursday.
