The Indianapolis Colts are well into the pre-draft process and while they just got done at the NFL scouting combine, they were also in attendance for a morning workout for UAB defensive tackle Garrett Marino on Wednesday.
Marino didn’t get an invite to the combine last week so a workout was held for the prospect. The Colts were one of the 11 teams present at the workout, per Terez A. Paylor of Yahoo Sports.
Teams that were present: Tampa Bay, New England, Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Washington, Tennessee, New York Giants, Detroit, San Francisco & New Orleans.

A projected Day 3 pick, Marino showed off some strength and speed. He ran a 4.89 in the 40-yard dash and put up 41 official reps on the bench press. He measured in at 6’0 1/5 and 288 pounds.
The Colts have made it clear they will turn over every stone on their way to the draft. With a massive need for talent on the interior defensive line, they aren’t shy about attending some private workouts for prospects with upside.
In 2019, Marino had 12.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and seven passes defended for the Blazers.
It will be interesting to see if Marino winds up getting drafted, but it appears the Colts are doing their due diligence on the prospect.
