Colts’ Andrew Ogletree speaks after torn ACL

Andrew Ogletree posted to Twitter following his season-ending injury.

Indianapolis Colts rookie tight end Andrew Ogletree appeared to be on his way toward carving out a role on the depth chart but will miss the entirety of the season after tearing his ACL during joint training camp practice Wednesday.

Ogletree, who went down in a non-contact fashion, got the news Wednesday night that he suffered a torn ACL. He took to Twitter to give a small statement following the news.

Ogletree was one of the stars of training camp through the first three weeks and had a touchdown reception called back due to a penalty in the preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills.

Ogletree was on his way to solidifying a role in the tight end room, but now they may carry just three tight ends with Mo Alie-Cox, Kylen Granson and fellow draft pick Jelani Woods.

Ogletree will have a long road ahead of him, but he’ll be gearing up to make another strong impression this time next year.
