Colts add CB Sam Womack to injury report vs. Jaguars

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve added CB Sam Womack to the injury report ahead of their game vs. the Jaguars.

The Indianapolis Colts announced on Saturday that they’ve added cornerback Sam Womack to the injury report ahead of their Week 5 matchup with the Jacksonville Jagurs.

Womack is officially listed as questionable with an illness.

Womack joined the Colts following roster cutdowns in late August after the team claimed him on waivers. After JuJu Brents was placed on injured reserve, Womack and Dallis Flowers split the boundary cornerback snaps opposite of Jaylon Jones in Weeks 2 and 3.

In this past game against the Steelers, however, Womack saw the majority of the playing time with 56 snaps, and made the most of the opportunity.

According to Pro Football Focus, Womack was targeted only twice the entire game, allowing only one reception for 12 yards, along with recording a pass breakup.

The depth of the Colts cornerback room, which was already a massive question mark before the season, is really being put to the test. In addition to not having Brents, Kenny Moore has also been ruled out for Sunday’s game as well, as he still works through a hip injury.

If Womack can’t go, Flowers and Jones will be the boundary cornerbacks with Chris Lammons in the slot.

Inactives will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday.
