The Indianapolis Colts activated running back Jonathan Taylor from the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Wednesday.
Taylor was placed on the list Saturday before the Week 12 game against the Tennessee Titans. Though he didn’t test positive for the virus, he was considered a high-risk close contact. Because of this, Taylor had to stay on the list for five consecutive days while also continuing to test negative.
It seems that has happened and Taylor will be re-joining the team for Wednesday’s practice ahead of the Week 13 matchup against the Houston Texans.
While the Colts will seemingly have their entire backfield healthy for the divisional game, they are still awaiting the status of starting defensive linemen DeForest Buckner and Denico Autry.
Both players are currently on the reserve/COVID-19 list and missed Sunday’s game against the Titans. Autry has missed two games dating back to when he was initially put on the list.
Buckner is eligible to return on Saturday before the game if he was asymptomatic. However, the Colts aren’t revealing that information for any player that tests positive.
