After spending three seasons with the Arizona State Sun Devils and this past year with the Colorado Buffaloes, defensive end BJ Green II has declared for the 2025 NFL draft.
Green was a highly-touted find in the transfer portal last winter and lived up to the hype, leading the Buffs with a career-high 7.5 sacks. The senior also led Colorado in tackles for loss (12), forced two fumbles (one recovery) and finished with 33 total tackles.
After a slow start to 2024, Green was vocal that a metaphorical “dam” of getting to opposing quarterbacks would break for the Buffaloes, and he was proven right. CU’s defense finished the season with its most collective sacks (39) since 1995.
Before his time with the black and gold, Green was a consistent threat on ASU’s defense. He racked up 13.5 sacks and 22 tackles for loss in three seasons with the Sun Devils. Another one of Green’s best traits is his durability, as he never missed a game in four collegiate seasons.
Now, the Powder Springs, Georgia native will hope to hear his name called in the NFL draft this April.
