During Colorado’s recent winter sports media day, women’s basketball head coach JR Payne was asked about the leaders on her team. Her list included names that fans have become accustomed to: Quay Miller, Jaylyn Sherrod, Frida Formann and other returners. But in the end, one new name piqued my interest, Maddie Nolan.
To say the Michigan transfer has made an instant impact would be an understatement. Nolan has had a stellar college career and decided to play her last season in Boulder after seeing the Buffaloes streak to the Sweet 16 in last season’s NCAA Tournament.
