Colorado State at Wyoming odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Colorado State Rams at Wyoming Cowboys odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Colorado State Rams (3-5, 2-2 Mountain West) and Wyoming Cowboys (4-4, 0-4) meet Saturday at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyo. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Colorado State vs. Wyoming odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings according to the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

The Rams opened conference play with wins over San Jose State and on the road against New Mexico, but setbacks at Utah State and home to Boise State has splashed cold water on their momentum. The Under is 3-0 in their previous three games and 6-1 across the past seven outings.

The Cowboys opened the non-conference slate 4-0 SU/1-2-1 ATS, but they have dropped and failed to cover each of their four MWC contests. Wyoming lost 27-21 at San Jose State last week. Prior to that, the Cowboys mustered just 3 total points in the previous two games.

Colorado State at Wyoming odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Wyoming 18, Colorado State 16

Money line

These two teams are rather evenly matched, and this is the best chance for WYOMING (+140) to pick up the win. Wyoming ranks 22nd in the nation with just 321.5 total yards per game, and a mere 151.8 passing yards per game to rank third.

Colorado State has struggled on offense, as has Wyoming. This will be a low-scoring game with points at a premium. Back the home side in a close battle.

Against the spread

WYOMING +3.5 (-120) is the best play on the board, as 3 and a hook in a game featuring two above-average defenses is quite a big number. Plus, the Cowboys are at home. Wyoming is 2-2 SU in four games at home this season, while Colorado State is 2-2 SU in four road outings. Expect this to be decided in the final moments of Saturday’s game.

Over/Under

UNDER 40.5 (-103) is the lean here. The temperatures will be in the low 60’s, unseasonably warm for this time of year in Laramie. But winds will be gusting 20-25 mph, so that will wreak havoc on the pass and kicking games. Look for plenty of rushing attempts, which keep the clock moving. Under bettors love that type forecast.
