Colorado barely survived against a one-win Arizona State team on Saturday. A win is a win, though, and the Buffs scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to leave Tempe with a 27-24 victory thanks to an Alejandro Mata field goal with less than 20 seconds remaining.
The game was sold out as everybody wanted to watch Deion Sanders and company, and the Sun Devils nearly pulled off the upset.
Arizona State surprisingly had more yards and first downs as the Buffs’ first-half play was a cause for concern. After the game, Coach Prime and his players had plenty to say about the way things went:
