Another day brought another flurry of moves for the Colorado Buffaloes football program. The Buffs added former Florida State defensive end Derrick McLendon and linebacker/safety Brendan Gant, per Matt Zenitz of On3.
Both McLendon and Gant attended the Buffs’ spring game. Now both are coming to play for defensive coordinator Charles Kelly.
Gant is a welcome addition for the Buffs. He had 112 total tackles during his time with Florida State, including 33 last season. The Buffs’ defense continues to add pieces despite losing numerous players to the transfer portal.
Two quality pickups for Colorado today in former Florida State EDGE Derrick McClendon, a starter at FSU last year, and ex-Florida State LB/DB Brendan Gant, who had 112 career tackles at FSU.

Gant was recruited as a safety, but he was a linebacker at Florida State last year. It will be interesting to see how he fits with the Buffs this season.
The Buffs also gained a commitment from Old Dominion transfer defensive lineman Chazz Wallace on Wednesday.
