Despite the 2024 college football season now being underway, the Colorado Buffaloes have remained relentless in the recruiting game.
Head coach Deion Sanders and his staff are currently interested in class of 2025 safety/athlete Julien Horton, who announced an offer from the Buffs on Tuesday.
However, Horton, a three-star recruit out of Bel Air, Maryland, has been committed to the North Carolina Tar Heels since June 27. While the tweet pinned to Horton’s X profile says he’s “104% committed” to UNC, Colorado’s offer indicates a late recruiting push.
If the Buffs were to sway Horton, they’d land the No. 27 class of 2025 prospect from Maryland, per the 247Sports composite. At 6 feet tall and 175 pounds, he could remain at safety or explore the possibilities of being an “athlete.”
With the new early signing period set to begin the Wednesday after Thanksgiving weekend, Colorado will have a full regular season to sway Horton away from North Carolina.
