Whether via the transfer portal or through high school recruiting, Colorado is on the hunt for commitments.
The Buffs have now offered 2025 four-star quarterback Austin Simmons, according to a Twitter post from him on Friday.
Simmons, a Florida native who committed to the Gators on April 4, is the No. 58 overall player in the country and the No. 4 QB in his class (247Sports). The Moore Haven High School product also holds offers from Auburn, Florida State, Miami and Penn State, among others.
Since head coach Deion Sanders was hired this offseason, Colorado has cast a broad net for prospects nationwide in an effort to expand the Buffs’ pipeline, and Simmons is the latest prospect on Coach Prime’s wish list.
Given that Simmons is a 2025 prospect, the Buffs have plenty of time to potentially flip him from his home state school.
