Colorado offers four-star defensive lineman from Travis Hunter’s high school

The Buffs are going after a four-star prospect from Travis Hunter’s high school

Deuce Geralds, one of the most highly sought-after defensive linemen in the class of 2026, announced an offer from the Colorado Buffaloes on Wednesday.

Geralds holds a unique connection to the Buffs as he attends Collins Hill High School (Suwanee, Georgia), which produced CU football star and recent Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. As a junior this past season, Gerlads helped Collins Hill to the third round of Georgia’s Class 6A state playoffs.

Geralds’ junior year numbers explain why he’s a four-star prospect and the fifth-ranked DL in his class (247Sports composite). The 6-foot-2.5, 265-pounder finished the season with 114 total tackles, 30 TFLs, 13 sacks and a forced fumble. In turn, Geralds was named a MaxPreps Junior All-American.

Several big-name programs have already offered Gerlads, including the Alabama Crimson Tide, USC Trojans, Ohio State Buckeyes and Penn State Nittany Lions.
