Colorado men’s basketball adds former Fossil Ridge star Nick Randall to roster

Former Fossil Ridge star Nick Randall is joining the Buffs as a walk-on

With Pac-12 play starting Friday, the Colorado men’s basketball team added an intriguing walk-on to its roster.

According to BuffZone’s Pat Rooney, former Fossil Ridge High School star Nick Randall has joined the Buffs. The 6-foot-8 forward from Fort Collins is a freshman who spent this past fall semester as a non-student-athlete at CU.

Randall replaces fellow walk-on Tristan Jackson, who recently left head coach Tad Boyle’s program, per Rooney.

As a senior at Fossil Ridge, Randall averaged a team-high 22.1 points per game and helped lead the Sabercats to the Class 6A Final Four. His 240 made field goals on the year were the third-most in Colorado across all classifications.

Boyle has never shied away from giving walk-ons minutes in blowout games, so we could see Randall on the court at some point this season.
